Dreaming in the Wake: Activating Radical Imagination in Threshold Times

We'll be setting the dream intention to "awaken the shared dream" in this month's Dreaming Circle as an act of solidarity with BIPOC to dismantle systems of injustice (both within and without) and find a better way forward.

In these last months, we've awakened to the dream, the nightmare, the threshold times we're all living in. The chaos, the fear, and also the infinite potential. The whole world is living together in a liminal state, a shared ceremony.

To work with the material of dreams is to invite radical imagination to come to the forefront of finding our way through these times.

When old structures are crumbling, it is the fuel of our dreams that will ignite a new reality into being. The power of dreaming in community invites us to drop out of the colonialized mind, to explore beyond the shores of the linear thinking of patriarchy, and to forge ahead into shared dreamscapes of the collective subconscious.

What threads of our ancestors will be offered up as we dream this new dream? What new ideas beyond our wildest imaginings will reveal themselves? What illusions will fall away as we see that the dream is actually dreaming us, all of us, awake? And what actions might crystalize and take form once we hold fast and honor the shared dreams of humanity?

Come all people of all creeds, nations, colors, beliefs. The material of our dreams is needed desperately in these times.

Let us gather at this threshold as we are Dreaming in the Wake.

We dream with the FULL MOON.
We gather via zoom on the DAY AFTER THE FULL MOON.

Upcoming gathering dates:

  • Thursday, September 3

  • Friday, October 2

  • Sunday, November 1

  • Tuesday, December 1

Free for all BIPOC! (just sign send an email to RSVP, subject line “Dreaming Circle” and date)

All donations will be sent to @colorsofchange

The wisdom of dreams is awakened through this monthly community Dreaming Circle. Meditative exploration of dream material and ancient European shamanic practice (as based on the Lyceum - formerly know as Path of Pollen) will lay the foundation through which dreamers will come to know more fully both their own dreaming vessels, or body of dreams, as well as the collective dream held within the dream weave created when community dreams as a collective. While guidance and instruction will be given, and this work will build upon itself, newcomers are welcome any time.

And join our dreaming list by emailing goldenwellapiaries(at)gmail.com

Please come prepared with a dream from the evening of the full moon (usually the night before we meet). Dream intentions will change month to month, stay tuned to what the intention is. Reach out if you have questions about this.

Takes place the evening after the Full Moon. All genders, races, backgrounds welcome. No experience necessary.
$10 suggested donation.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

Nicole Haciba Burke has been working in the healing arts since 2006. She has trained in Japanese Medicine and Acupressure with Dr. Imetai Henderson of Source Medicine, completed an apprenticeship with Sierra Thayer in Shamanic Healing, studied Red Lodge Medicine Ways with Ohki Siminé Forest, and has been deeply immersed in the Lyceum (formerly known as the Path of Pollen) for well over a decade as taught by Kate Shela, Naomi Lewis and Simon Buxton at the Sacred Trust in the U.K..

In addition to formal training, Nicole’s dynamic approach to healing is also inspired by her diverse cultural background and experiences as an artist, designer, writer, organic vegetable farmer, beekeeper, and a world adventurer. Nicole has led Moonlodge and various ceremonies, worked on organic farms, studied permaculture, and worked with numerous beehives and beekeepers all over the world.

While much of Nicole’s work deals directly with healing the physical body, her emphasis is also on a spirit level because she understands that harmony of soul embodied is the gateway of health in balanced connection to all things. Nicole honors and nurtures the wilderness of the soul. She reminds her clients of their pure essence and how to follow joy towards living a more rich, interconnected life. Her work is guided by and deeply rooted in loving relationship with the Earth, all of its elements and inhabitants.
