Dreaming/Awake: Embodying the Threshold

October 17th, 2020 with Deborah Willimott & Nicole Burke (accompanied by Sara Rothwell)

Globally, we are in the time of The Inbetween.

And here, at the pause between What Was and What Is To Be, lies a Threshold.

We invite you to gather here.

What medicine is waiting to be dreamed into being by you for these times?

As a group, we will work with breath, meditation, movement, and dreaming practice to draw us closer to the threshold where dreaming meets awake. With devotion and ritual, we will seek to bridge the infinite possibility of dreamscape into waking reality in order to facilitate positive change.

The Container: Nicole Burke and Deborah Willimott will together hold the architecture of this event, with the intention to create the conditions to facilitate you into becoming the magical change-place of dreaming/awake. As we embark on this journey, we petition our past and future Ancestors to gaze upon us with a benevolent eye and the Earth Herself to be the foundation upon which we take these steps.

The Intention: To shift your biology so that you become the interstice through which dreaming can move; that is to say you will awaken the dreaming body, merge the awake body with it, and therefore become the gateway through which the medicine of change arrives.

The Tools: This is Dream Embodiment practice over 3.5 hours (both online and offline). We will gather online for ritual practice, meditation and the Threshold Dreaming Dance; then be offline for a session of intentional oneiric work before regathering online together for our closing session.

This Intensive will take place via Zoom on Saturday, October 17th:

4pm-7:30pm UK time

11am-2:30pm EST

8am-11:30am PST

Please note: This is an advanced level workshop and is open to those who have a familiarity with Shamanic work, embodiment practice, or who have a regular spiritual practice. If you’re unsure about whether or not this workshop is appropriate for you, please email us. Open to all genders.

Fee: £33, $44

(Need-based scholarships available, please inquire via email. Spots are limited, early registration encouraged)

See you at the threshold,

Deborah & Nicole

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS

Screen Shot 2020-08-27 at 10.22.22 PM.png

Deborah Willimott is a facilitator and practitioner of shamanic methodologies.

After nearly a decade working as an award-winning magazine writer she relocated to the French Alps to become an avid snowboarder and climber, skills that she developed and then added to her existing passions for yoga, the trapeze, boxing, mountain biking and other physically demanding disciplines and practices.

For the last twenty years she has been engaging in shamanic work, formally with Nicholas Hurn within the lineage of Joseph Rael (Beautiful Painted Arrow) and more recently within the Lyceum, in which she is one of a small cadre of teachers. She teaches advanced trainings at The Sacred Trust, an educational organising offering Shamanic trainings and workshops (find out more about courses and offerings at sacredtrust.org).

The marriage of physically demanding activities and shamanism well describe her adventurous nature as a teacher and practitioner and she brings this into the spaces she works in as an exacting attention to detail and laser focus. Her facilitation and healing work is illuminated by a levity of spirit that engenders ease and her commitment to the work of the sacred is fathomless

Nicole Haciba Burke has been working in the healing arts since 2006. She has trained in Japanese Medicine and Acupressure with Dr. Imetai Henderson of Source Medicine, completed an apprenticeship with Sierra Thayer in Native American Shamanic Healing, studied Red Lodge Medicine Ways with Ohki Siminé Forest, and has been deeply immersed in the Lyceum (formerly known as the Path of Pollen) for well over a decade as taught at the Sacred Trust in the U.K..

In addition to formal training, Nicole’s dynamic approach to healing is also inspired by her diverse cultural background and experiences as an artist, designer, writer, organic vegetable farmer, beekeeper, and a world adventurer. Nicole has led Moonlodge and various ceremonies, worked on organic farms, studied permaculture, and worked with numerous beehives and beekeepers all over the world.

While much of Nicole’s work deals directly with healing the physical body, her emphasis is also on a spirit level because she understands that harmony of soul embodied is the gateway of health in balanced connection to all things. Nicole honors and nurtures the wilderness of the soul. She reminds her clients of their pure essence and how to follow joy towards living a more rich, interconnected life. Her work is guided by and deeply rooted in loving relationship with the Earth, all of its elements and inhabitants.
