ADDITIONAL INFO:

Timing:

Come on down to the farm as early as 2:30pm especially if you want to be on the 1st shuttle by 3pm. Please note that traffic may be heavy right at 3pm, so trying to arrive before or after would be helpful! Anywhere between 2:30 and 4pm is ideal.

Where to head:

The farm is located at 1089 River Road, New Haven, VT. We ask that you head (slowly!) straight back past the sheds, barn and pole barn to find the parking area and an attendant to help you park.

Checking in:

Once you park head-in on the grass, walk back towards the pole barn (where the festivities will take place) and check in with one of our team members to get your meal stamp and shuttle and tube tickets.

Orientation:

When you're ready to tube, please take your tickets to where the tube and orientation stand will be set up in the yard to get your tube and/or a brief orientation.

Shuttles:

Please note we can only shuttle up to 30 people and their tubes at a time, so this will be on a first come first serve. We appreciate your patience! You're all very welcome to listen to music, dine, and play in the river as you wait. Shuttles will run every 30-40 minutes. We'll leave on shuttles from the farm starting at 3pm. The float will take about 1.25-1.5 hours.

Self Shuttling:

If you're shuttling yourself, we recommend putting in at Sycamore park. It's further upstream than where the bus will be letting folks off but really the best place to park and the closest public land that works for a docking location. The float from Sycamore Park (also known as Tin City) is about 2 hours, whereas our shuttle point is about 1.25-1.5 hours.

Recommendations of what to bring:

-Sunscreen

-Bug spray

-River shoes

-Floating coolers or at least a water bottle

-Rope if you want to link up with your floating crew

-Waterproof baggies for anything else you'd want to bring along including snacks, phones, first aid kits etc)

-Towels and a change of clothes (car changing recommended. we'll try to set up an outdoor changing area too but no guarantees!)

Please DON'T bring:

-Your dog - no matter how well behaved or awesome they are. We love dogs, but this isn't the right event for them!
-This is a drug-free and smoke-free event, please don't bring any illegal substances. Cigarette smoke is not allowed on the premises.

River Conduct:

-Please treat the river with respect! Under no circumstances will littering be tolerated. If you're bringing snacks and drinks on your float, please bring a trash sack.

-Most of the land on the river is PRIVATE PROPERTY. We encourage everyone to stay off of private property.

-Please also note that if you have rented a tube, someone downstream is likely waiting for it. Please keep on route!

-Be courteous to others on the river. Watch foul language if kids or families are nearby.
-If you cannot swim, are not an intermediate level swimmer, or are under the age 14, you will need to wear a lifejacket at all times. Please provide your own as we don't have them.

-Parents with kids will need to bring their own life jackets for their children. Even though the depth is listed to be 3 feet, there are many locations where the river will be over a person's head.
-Please be mindful of shallows and rough terrain and take care of your tube! Use common sense and walk shallows as needed.

-If your tube pops, grab on to an adjacent tube, hold on, and try to enjoy the rest of the trip. Please bring the damaged tube back. We will try our best to get you another tube, but it isn't always possible.
-Anyone under the age of 16 must have at least 1 adult with them or the group.

-And...last but certainly not least...you must HAVE FUN!!!
